Such a beautiful pair of natural Kolum kunzite gemstones have been set into 9ct yellow gold stud earrings. The kunzite was mined in Afghanistan where some of the finest examples of this gemstone are sourced. We have found it extremely rare to find the natural material, most kunzite being sold through the trade will have received heat treatment so being natural makes them an extra special find! This is one of the few gemstones which displays phosphorescence which is the process in which the energy absorbed is released relatively slowly in the form of light. The term is used by experts to describe gemstones that appear to glow in the dark, quite spectacular!
Each kunzite measures 5mm x 7mm oval with a weight of 2.42 carats! Such exceptional clarity and an exquisite delicate shade of pink to these gemstones unlike many we have sourced and rejected that can near colourless in some instances. The earrings are secured with butterfly fasteners that have been made larger than average for added security. Most importantly the earrings you see in our photos and video are the pair you will receive and are not part of a bulk lot that other jewellery retails display on their websites.
