Such a stunning 9ct yellow gold ring set with a premium AAA graded tanzanite measuring an impressive 10mm x 5mm with a weight of 1.16 carats so not a small gemstone by any means! The tanzanite has been cut into the marquise shape which is one of the most costly cuts to achieve in any gemstone due to the waste of the rough material! The colour of the tanzanite is a vivid blue/violet with flashes of pink dependant on viewing access and lighting. To add that touch more luxury, genuine Cambodian mined sparkling white zircons have been set as a halo around the tanzanite resulting in the most eye catching piece of jewellery, such a beautiful ring! Please do not confuse zircon with the man made cubic zirconia, zircon is a natural gemstone, one of the oldest known to Mankind with the brilliance of a diamond! Tanzanite really is a good investment. 1,000 times rarer than diamond. A spokesman from the Tanzanite Authority said it was difficult to ascertain exactly what the price of tanzanite would be in the future, with many expecting the price to reach anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 per carat during the next decade, however, what is for certain is that supply is not infinite and the demand for the stone continues to rise as developing markets such as India and China continue to drive demand upwards. Towards the end of the 1990’s tanzanite had established itself as the most popular selling gemstone in the world outselling most coloured gemstones!
