WOW! Such an impressive looking 9ct yellow gold ring set with 5 premium AAA graded tanzanites, the central stone measuring an impressive 10mm x 4.5mm with a weight of 0.99 points so not a small gemstone by any means! The further 4 tanzanites measure 6mm x 3mm, each stone weighing over 1/4 of a carat each! The tanzanites have been cut into the marquise shape which is one of the most costly cuts to achieve in any gemstone due to the waste of the rough material! The tanzanites are so well matched for colour and can be described as a vivid blue/violet with flashes of pink dependant on viewing access and lighting. When choosing a premium tanzanite, it is extremely important factor for the colour, clarity and cut to be of a high standard and we must say these stones are superb in all three qualities. Tanzanite really is a good investment. 1,000 times rarer than diamond. A spokesman from the Tanzanite Authority said it was difficult to ascertain exactly what the price of tanzanite would be in the future, with many expecting the price to reach anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 per carat during the next decade, however, what is for certain is that supply is not infinite and the demand for the stone continues to rise as developing markets such as India and China continue to drive demand upwards. Towards the end of the 1990’s tanzanite had established itself as the most popular selling gemstone in the world outselling most coloured gemstones!
