Such a stunning eye catching 9ct yellow gold ring set with an emerald mined from Mother Earth in Zambia. This emerald is from the Kafubu Mining Area which is one of the largest suppliers of gem-quality emeralds in the world, second to Colombia. The emerald’s colour is a stunning spearmint green with a beautiful glow, our photos really do not do this emerald justice! The emerald is pear in shape with a weight of 0.98 points so not a tiny emerald measuring 8mm x 6mm! This emerald does have natural internal inclusions as expected from a type III gemstone. Emeralds do have natural inclusions but this does not detract from their beauty and is accepted throughout the gemstone industry and is referred to by many as the emeralds jardin! Although the emerald is natural, it has received some oil to the surface to enhance its lustre, this is a perfectly acceptable practice within the gemstone industry. To add that touch more luxury, genuine Cambodian mined white zircon have been set as a halo around the emerald. Please do not confuse zircon with the man made cubic zirconia, zircon is a natural gemstone, one of the oldest known to Mankind with the brilliance of a diamond! PLEASE NOTE: The ring has been modelled on the life size hand of a mannequin to demonstrate the look of the ring when worn. The ring has been gauged as a UK size P 1/2 but we are sure would fit comfortably on a ring size P or Q. The ring can be re-sized within reason, please contact us in the first instance and we would be happy to enquire as to whether the ring can be altered to your requirements.
