One of the most stunning rings we have sourced recently.  The Morganite which was mined in the Mutala region of Mozambique is a subtle pink in colour and has been cut into an oval shape which measures a mighty impressive 11.25mm x 9mm and weighs in at 3.71 carats, so an extremely large gemstone.  The morganite has been set into a 9ct yellow gold ring which has been independently hallmarked by the Assay Office in Birmingham, UK.  To add that touch more luxury, genuine ice white zircons have been set as a halo around the morganite and the effect is truly stunning, such an eye catching piece of jewellery! Please do not confuse zircon with the man made cubic zirconia, zircon is a natural gemstone, one of the oldest known to Mankind with the brilliance of a diamond.  It is becoming ever more frequent for the manufacturers to use zircon in place of diamonds to compliment many pieces of jewellery.  It helps keep their cost down to make and supply stunning jewellery.  To set 22 x 1.5mm lower graded diamonds into a piece like this would more than double its cost and would certainly not have as much sparkle!   Morganite is part of the Beryl family of gemstones and is also known as “pink emerald”.  We are sure that whoever buys this ring will be thrilled with their purchase.  Such a stunning piece.
