The kunzite was mined in the Minas Gerais area of Brazil where some of the finest examples of this gemstone are found. This is one of the few gemstones which displays phosphorescence which is the process in which the energy absorbed is released relatively slowly in the form of light. The term is used by experts to describe gemstones that appear to glow in the dark, quite spectacular! The pendant measures approximately 19mm from the top of the bale x 10mm wide.
