Such a beautiful pair of 9k white gold stud earrings. The emeralds are mined from Mother Earth in Zambia which is now one of the largest suppliers of gem-quality emeralds in the world, second to Colombia. The emeralds are an lovely vibrant spearmint green colour with a great glow unlike many we have sourced and rejected that can be quite dark in colour. Emeralds being a type III gemstone will have natural inclusions which is referred to in the trade as jardin! Please be assured, the emeralds are natural, as natural as Mother Earth created and are NOT lab created as are a vast amount of “emeralds” on the market today! Although natural, the emeralds have received some oiling to their surface to improve lustre. This is a perfectly acceptable practice throughout the gemstone industry. The combined weight of the two emeralds is 1.34 carats, each emerald measuring approximately 6.75mm x 5mm and are oval in shape and over 1/2 a carat each so not tiny stones by any means! To add that touch more luxury, genuine diamonds have been set into the top of the design which measures approximately 9mm long x 5mm wide. The earrings are secured with butterfly fasteners. Please be assured, the gold has been hallmarked in the UK.
