WOWOW! This certainly is one big rock! Such an exquisite 9ct yellow gold pendant set with an extremely large natural amethyst mined from Mother Earth in Zambia where some of the finest amethysts are sourced and measuring an impressive 14mm x 10mm with a weight of 7.14 carats so a large rock that has been cut into an attractive octagon shape. Only the finest of gemstones will be cut into this shape due to the open facets which will show every little inclusion! The colour of this gemstone is just amazing, a deep velvet purple with pink tones. To add that touch more luxury, natural pink tourmaline have been set into the bale. The pink of the tourmaline and purple of the amethyst compliment each other so well. The drop of the pendant from the top of the bale measures approximately 21mm x 11mm wide. The majority of amethyst on the market today from other locations are predominantly heat treated to enhance their colour but we believe that because of the fine quality and colour of the Zambia examples, no heat treatment is necessary. Please be assured, the gold has been independently hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office in the UK. We are sure that whoever decides to buy this pendant will be thrilled with their purchase.
