Please be assured, the emeralds are natural, as natural as Mother Earth created and are NOT lab created as are a vast amount of “emeralds” on the market today! Although natural, the emeralds have received some oiling to their surface. This is a perfectly acceptable practice throughout the gemstone industry. The combined weight of the two emeralds is 0.85 points and measure 6mm x 4mm and are oval in shape They are not tiny gemstones weighing a tad under 1/2 a carat each! The earrings are secured with butterfly fasteners. Many of the emeralds we have sourced and rejected tend to be on the darker side and certainly not as bright!
