Such beautiful 9ct yellow gold earrings set with 14 natural rare alexandrites, each gemstone measuring 2.75mm round with a combined weight of 1.40ct so not tiny chips! Alexandrite is a strongly pleochroic (trichroic) gem and will exhibit emerald green, through to grey/blues/mauves/reds dependent on lighting. Please see our photo taken in a direct light source which demonstrates the shift in colour in artificial lighting. The earrings are in a half loop design and secured with butterfly fasteners which have been made larger than average for added security. The drop of each earring measures approximately 17mm. We have taken a photo alongside a 50p piece coin so that to demonstrate the scale of size. Please be assured, the gold has been independently hallmarked by the Birmingham Assay Office here in the UK.
